Childrens Exam Tests in the Newspapers.by John Foster
08/05/2007 by admin.
 I have Just been in Malaysia and the Daily paper the New Straight Times has an exam quality test in the paper every day - it gives an 30 example then 30 questions, at the end the student can fill in a form and send the test in and one will be chosen to win a scholarship. I was thinking how good this would be if the UK Newspapers did something like this to help the children and also probably entice a future reader of their paper.
We live in hope -

Bingo Online – Jackpot Joy By Morgan Collins
01/03/2007 by admin.
 Online bingo operators seem to be loosening their purse strings, but bingo players should be cautious before joining a site offering an unrealistic bingo jackpot prize.
While bingo has got bigger and bigger, more and more people played online bingo in 2006 than ever before. This is despite the recent changes to American law and also the proposed changes to the UK Gambling Act which will soon to come into force.
And as bingo gets bigger, and as more people play, this can mean only one thing – bigger jackpot prizes.
In 2006 the size of bingo jackpots grew incredibly, compared to that of 2005. It is now common to see progressive jackpot prizes averaging £30,000, with the St Minver network paying out £91,000 and £32,000 only three weeks apart, toward the end of 2006.
A few years previous, no-one would have thought the online bingo phenomenon would produce such massive jackpots to compete with those in land-based bingo halls, but it seems that they will soon start to take over.
So what are the reasons behind the increase in jackpot sizes? Is it simply down to an increase in player numbers, or is it that bingo operators are loosening their purse strings in order to grab the attention of players in what is a very competitive market.
Well, if a bingo operator is part of a large bingo network, then player liquidity comes into play. A network like St Minver will have players from all around Europe contributing to large pots of money. Experts believe the growth in jackpot prizes simply mirrors the growth in player numbers. The more players playing, the more bingo cards are sold, and therefore the bigger the prizes will be.
However, it is also true that operators may be funding “loss leaders” via their massive marketing budgets, in order to put constant pressure on the competition, in the fight to provide the best sign up bonuses, cash match and jackpot prizes. It seems that this happened when Gala bingo launched its new product after parting company with St Minver not so long ago. It would never have been possible for them to offer the kind of jackpots they were unless they were funding the jackpots themselves.
However, players should be cautious of some of the approaches used by bingo operators. For example, an operator offering a prize of, say, £100,000 to be won with only 33 numbers produces a virtually impossible probability of that prize ever being won. Yet it is not difficult to see how players can be duped into such marketing ploys.
It is far better for a player to look for a jackpot prize which seems attainable and then compare it to the amount of numbers that “BINGO” should be called in, coupled with the number of players actually playing on the site or network. It is not always best to go with the biggest jackpot, but an average across the board for both prize and player numbers.
Offering sign-up bonuses and cash match bonuses is another marketing ploy that has produced good results for bingo operators. It is also one of the most attractive offers when enticing players to your site.
However, keeping players is far more difficult, and that is why some sites try offering such large jackpots. However, offering unrealistic odds of winning might get players through the door, but it will not keep them on the site. Building trust and maintaining players is far more important than offering huge jackpots.
St Minver commissioned its own survey in 2006 and asked nearly 3000 players to rate the most important reasons for preferring one site over another. Jackpot prizes actually came fourth, with ease of deposit and withdrawal, trust and customer service coming way before.
So if you are on the look-out for a giant jackpot prize, be sure to check the competition and be sure that the prize is realistic, and the site you are playing on has already built a level of trust with its pool of players.

Bingo - Internet Reality by: Morgan Collins
08/02/2007 by admin.
 Bingo – a social game, with an online chat element, allowing us to play, communicate and connect with each other online as we further our need for reality internet entertainment.
More and more people are finding new, exciting and sometimes stranger ways of finding entertainment. We all love being entertained, whether by methods such as movies, music, partying and games, entertainment is a way of uplifting and removing ourselves from the daily humdrum of working life and the necessities that come with it. We all like escapism. Removing ourselves from reality for a moment allows us to put our life into perspective and return to it with a more relaxed and open frame of mind.
Finding the same level of entertainment in the new techno-based era, with computers, gadgets and the internet, has for some become a daily passion. The new ‘social’ search based methods now being utilised by companies such as Yahoo, YouTube and Wikipedia are now commonplace amongst the internet, as people strive to find ways of communicating with the outside world in an attempt to bring everyone closer together in the search for an escape or dose of internet reality. These social search mechanisms also allow us to see further what we cannot see everyday. That is the way people are living their lives, be it just around your corner, or on the other side of the world. They allow us to fulfil the natural instinct of wanting to reach out beyond our lifestyle boundaries and sample the lives of others. Just as we have become addicted to the reality TV shows, we are now addicted to reality internet.
One such way of fulfilling the need for entertainment online is to play online games like Bingo.
Bingo has always been a sociable game to play, since its inception back in the late 1500s, but the modern method of playing online not only provides light entertainment, but a great social mechanism and a chance for a touch of internet reality too.
The chat rooms that are associated with the games, allow us to communicate with people all over the world and not just in the local area, as was the restriction with land-based bingo. Setting yourself up for a night of online bingo is another way of removing yourself from reality for a moment, and allows us to fulfil the need for light entertainment and a connection with the new reality internet world.
Most people who play bingo stay logged in to the bingo game for hours on end. Stats from Chit Chat Bingo show that the average session is approximately 2 hours, with peak periods being between 6pm and midnight, after the kids have gone to bed or at the end of a long hard day at the office. However, people are not always playing every game as most simply enjoy the online social element. This is a good way of meeting people, catching up on gossip and connecting with the lives of others.
Most bingo sites offer the chat room function and some offer the ability to view a picture or profile of the players. But what will the future hold for the next generation of bingo software. Will we soon see video clips in the profile just like the Google video clips, will we be able to view players live online at home from a webcam, jumping up and down and screaming bingo, or barking in frustration at the computer as they see someone else pick up that big bingo jackpot.
Once thing is for certain, online bingo is currently proving to be a hit amongst online gamers in the UK. It is fun, easy to play and gives a chance to bring everyone together in one bingo community, sharing the common goal of light entertainment, social search and reality internet.

Bingo Online - a Social Catalyst by: Morgan Collins
08/02/2007 by admin.
 Online bingo provides one of the many catalysts for social networking via the internet. Bingo has always been a very sociable game and now that it is played online, the chat room element provides a great way of meeting and talking to people all over the world from the comfort of your home.Players log on to bingo games for hours on end, but they are not always depositing money. Of the average daily 3-4 hour sessions playing bingo a big proportion of that time is spent chatting. It is the chat room element that attracts players to stay online for ages simply talking to people and gossiping about the latest current affairs. Certainly chat is beginning to compete with the telephone for a method of social interaction, with around 200 million people already using MSN messenger (Microsoft survey).
It is clear that bingo gaming and chat rooms go hand in hand. They draw many parallels, with both being a way of attaining social interaction, fun online and a feeling of togetherness. The chat rooms that accompany bingo games are an ideal way of communicating with each other and the outside world. The social element of bingo is a perfect match for the social element of chat.
Who loves to chat?
Stereotypes suggest that it is women who love to chat the most. It is also said that bingo online fills the gap in the market for women who want to use a computer and play virtual games online. In fact, a recent survey commissioned by St Minver, who operate Juega Bingo Ya, claims that 85% of its UK players are female and they stay online fives times longer than men. However, that figure changes drastically in the Spanish market, whereby around 60% of online bingo players are male, each gambling around €125 per month online and spending much longer online than women. Spain itself has a high propensity of people wishing to gamble, and with only 24% current broadband penetration the future growth potential is there for all to see. So the stereotype that women are prone to chatting online more than men, does not ring true for online bingo and their associated chat rooms.
While the chat element is big in Spain, according to the operators of http://www.juegabingoya.com, Spanish players offer a different kind of reception to those winning the jackpot. Recent complaints to the customer services department of St Minver have been somewhat ironic. St Minver had recently launched a Swedish language chat room for its Swedish partner. However, Swedish players were said to have been very fond of the previously Spanish integrated chat room as they were fond of the light-hearted abuse received online when any other player called ‘bingo’. Many Swedish players made requests to re-integrate the Spanish chat with the new Swedish bingo product.
It is said that the chat element of bingo is popular due to the community feeling it gives players who play online. The feeling of becoming known amongst other chat room players, together with the gaining of an identity, draws people to the chat rooms. On average, players return to bingo chat rooms around 20 times per month and, in a typical day, over 7000 lines of chat per hour go through the chat room of the St Minver network.
Chat rooms also provide a good way of providing customer support. Juega Bingo’s 24 hour customer service is proving popular amongst its players as a way of discussing the game and enabling players with a question to be able to obtain a speedy response, in a language they can understand.
There is also an element of trust that a chat room brings to online bingo. Players can build up a rapport with the Chat Managers, and this can help build loyalty and fuel player retention as there is always someone at hand to greet players, answer any questions, or spark off a conversation.
A lot of sites offer chat rooms games as an added element to a bingo site. Offering prizes, promotions and rewards for answering questions is a great way to attract players to a chat room. Recently Chit Chat bingo brought in some TV celebrities from Big Brother to act as Chat Room Managers and this brought a fun and even more familiar social element to the chat rooms.
Essentially, chat rooms are about building a community. By offering quality Chat Managers, who build up a good rapport with players, and by offering chat room games and prizes with the chance for players to meet and identify with each other, it is no wonder why Chat Rooms are such an important element in online bingo games.

First off, play at a well-known bingo site where you’re certain your money will be kept safely. Also to ensure that your winnings will be paid out. If you’re already playing at a reliable bingo site, then this tip won’t apply to you. Try to register with bingo sites that offer an instant 100% or 300% (if you can) match bonus on your deposit. Many bingo sites offer a 50% match bonus on all future deposits.
Play at as many bingo sites that offer this bonus. This will increase the starting amount of your cash!! Play 25p bingo games, they offer the biggest cash jackpots.

Try not to play between 6-9am or 6-11 as most of the bingo halls are packed during these bingo peak hours. Try playing on a Monday or Tuesday, there’s guaranteed to be fewer players in the bingo hall but stay away from the bingo halls on a Friday or Saturday because bingo players tend to log on only to socialize with their buddies.
Join a chatroom immediately once you register. Besides the fact that you’ll have the opportunity to meet people from all around the world, you’ll have the chance to be part of the chatroom bonuses on offer. Try to make as many friends as possible; relationships are always important when it comes to online bingo. Register for the bingo site’s newsletter. You’ll receive a certain amount of money just for spreading the word of a cool bingo site. Be generous with your winnings. If you give out a dollar to your opponents, the favor could easily be returned if your neighbor wins with your dollar.
There so many ways to become a bingo millionaire. The amount of chances to win has been increased thanks to the Internet. Always be persistent when playing bingo games, eventually once you get the hang of things, you’ll create your own luck.
